What says friendship better than 2000+ years of laughter, tears, drunken nights, and sometimes a little more. ^_~ The ailing captain has been and probably always will be foremost on Shunsui's mind.

Ise Nanao
Faithful Vice-Captain to the 8th Division, the lovely Nanao-chan believes that her captain should buckle down and do his work, while Shunsui believes the woman should lighten up and have some sake.

Matsumoto Rangiku
Shares Shunsui's love of sake. They are often seen going to the same bars. They make good drinking buddies!

Urahara Kisuke
The eccentric previous captain of the twelfth division, Shunsui likes him a lot better than the current one. In the city, he’s a trustworthy comrade and a good friend. Too bad he was exiled.

Shihouin Yoruichi
Also a former captain, but of the second division. Strong and beautiful, she is also a trusted means of support in this strange place. Not to mention her uh…assets.
